Points For Beginners

Points are rewards earned when spending money on a credit card. The rewards come in the form of points, cashback, or airline miles.  Generally, each $1 spent is equal to 1 point, although, this can change based on the purchase being made. Some credit card companies provide a bigger incentive such 6 points for every $1 dollar spent on flights or 3 points for every $1 dollar spent when spending on groceries. For the sake of simplicity, we will stick to the information that every $1 dollar spent will reward us with 1 point, so if we spend 100 dollars we will get 100 points and if we spend 1,034 dollars we will get 1,034 points. Traveling with points and miles may seem compicated, however, with a bit of effort and willingness to learn the points system, traveling costs can be a fracation of what the actual cost would be to book htels and plane tickets. This beginners guide will go over the three essential components of understanding reward points and that is whare points, how can you get points, and how do you redeem points.
