Travel is something that I have always enjoyed because of the adventure and perspective it gave me. Whether I am going to a city which is only a few hundred miles away or a country which is thousands of miles away, nothing gets me more excited than packing my bags and setting off to a new adventure. The experiences, the memories, the trying of new food..I can go on and on about the reasons why I love traveling. Now would also be a good time to confess I am an avgeek who finds pleasure in flying on airplanes and going airplane spotting! 

So why did I start Venture Points? Simple, I believe traveling can be affordable (and even free) to everyone once you learn how to use miles and points. You don’t need to save up years and years to make a dream trip happen. By utilizing credit card rewards and loyalty programs, you can maximize your travel experience while minimizing your costs. My goal is to  inform readers on how to maximize their travel experiences through smart money saving strategies.

Some background on me, I am currently a Master’s student at George Washington University and live in Washington D.C. After quitting my job to focus on my studies, I knew I had to find another way to fund my travels. I began researching credit card options and their rewards programs which lead me to signing up for the American Express Platinum. I quickly started racking up points which allowed me to travel to places such as London and Paris for little to no out-of-pocket cost. I see myself as a true travel enthusiast and my vision for Venture Points is to empower people to see the world and make the most of their travels.
